Vendor and Procurement Management Manager

Position Summary:

Responsible for guiding the sourcing, contracting, and vendor management process for various spend categories within technology, operations, and clinical areas. Also responsible for the identification of new savings opportunities through strategic sourcing activities, vendor contract negotiations, and performance management of vendors.

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partners in strategic sourcing, contract negotiating, and vendor management activities to impact cost competitiveness and quality improvements.

  • Facilitates corporate vendor risk management process for vendors, including coordination of information security assessments and business continuity reviews.

  • Ensures consolidation of vendor base where such efforts would yield greatest benefit for Lumeris, delivering YOY cost savings while encouraging vendors to provide innovative solutions.

  • Advises business owners and other stakeholders on identifying business and vendor needs while fostering strategic supplier relationships that increase performance, reduce cost, and reduce risk.

  • Partners cross-functionally to support vendor related identification and reporting requirements.

  • Guides reporting, tracking, trend analysis and data standards for the Vendor Management Program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent

  • 5+ years’ experience in sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role

  • Demonstrated experience with reviewing spend, identifying and implementing process improvement/savings opportunities, and measuring ongoing vendor performance against contracts or other metrics

  • Strong ability to think critically and strategically in relation to contracting and potential impacts to the business

  • Proven ability to develop effective relationships and work with team members at all levels, including executive management

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field

  • Certified Purchasing Manager designation

  • Working knowledge of business law / legal contracts

  • Sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation experience in the healthcare industry

Working Conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in normal office working conditions.

The hiring range for this position is:

$72,800.00-$97,400.00
