Neovia Logistics Solutions Design Manager in Remote, United States

JOB SUMMARY

This technical position aims at developing trust and credibility with prospective clients through quality relationship management and presenting effective tailor-made solutions that meets clients’ requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collects project requirements in order to design projects and implementation timelines. This involves determining Critical Customer Requirements (CCRs) and Volume Purchase Agreements, estimating project costing, mitigating risk and presenting the project plan to clients and organization executives.

  • Provides input to help determine when projects qualify for an offer by making recommendations to decision makers as necessary.

  • Develops fully-integrated solutions by collecting and challenging relevant information from functional “Subject Matter Experts” (SME’s), identifying risks and issues for the project. Determines headcounts, material and equipment requirements, location, layout, workflows, etc. and prepares this for presentation to client specialists and executives.

  • Manages all pre-qualification work (including client presentations) so as to meet the deadlines and the quality standards of the organization. This includes helping to set technical objectives, preparing engineering development proposals and feasibility studies.

  • Prepares post-bid submissions, organizes the response to requests for clarification and takes part in negotiations with potential clients.

  • Develops trust and credibility with prospective client through effective relationship management and demonstration of logistics knowledge. Leads planning workshops with large groups (e.g. client and/or organization team members) designed to meet critical customer timelines and participates in establishing design constraints.

  • Provides regular process reports in writing and in person to client and organization leadership as well as a project risk assessment.

  • Leads the commercial, operations and functional teams throughout the project implementation process.

  • Ensures proposals are accurate (with clear scope and assumptions documented), professional and targeted to meet the Client’s needs.

  • Takes part in the proposal process to the prospective client by presenting the technical specifications of the proposed solution and providing relevant answers to client’s technical questions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideally a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent through experience

  • Typically 5 years of experience in a pre-sales position or technical position

  • 2 years’ experience as Operations Manager or Plant Manager

  • Ideally has first-hand Six Sigma experience

  • High level of analytical and project management skills

  • Expertise in competitive markets (Finished Products, Service Parts Logistics & Inbound Logistics).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.
