What You’ll Do
Champion the strategic development and execution of learning and organizational development initiatives that align with GitLab's business objectives and growth strategy
Collaborate with senior leadership within the People Group and across GitLab teams to identify, develop, and deliver solutions that drive organizational effectiveness and team member growth
Craft and launch highly engaging learning experiences for all levels, from individual contributors to executive leadership
Design and scale programs that strengthen company culture, accelerate individual development, drive team productivity, enhance leadership capabilities, and foster organizational learning
Develop data-driven measurement strategies to evaluate program effectiveness and ROI, using insights to continuously improve and iterate on learning solutions
Design breakthrough, multi-modal learning experiences utilizing GitLab's digital platforms, including our learning tech stack, our GitLab Handbook, and other channels that meet learners where they are
Lead multifaceted, cross-functional learning initiatives from conception to implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver impactful learning solutions
Partner across teams to continuously evaluate impact and experience across GitLab's diverse team member population
Guide and influence organizational learning strategy through thought leadership and expertise in adult learning principles
Pioneer scalable frameworks that enable a culture of continuous learning and development
Leverage Artificial Intelligence to take learning, growth, and career development at GitLab into the future
Collaborate with other learning functions within GitLab to ensure Talent Development is delivering the best experience for all team members
Champion inclusion and accessibility throughout learning design, implementation, and beyond
Demonstrate technical agility by quickly adapting to new learning technologies, platforms, and AI tools to create cutting-edge learning solutions
What You’ll Bring
6+ years experience in related work such as instructional design, facilitation, content development, program implementation, and evaluation
Track record of designing engaging and impactful development programs that improves individual, team, and company performance
Exceptional written and interpersonal skills
Experience developing self-service learning content, such as e-learning modules
Experience designing and delivering webinars or synchronous online courses
Strong logistical planning and organizational skills
Capable of working collaboratively across multiple departments
Passionate about personal development, training, learning, and seeing individuals develop to their fullest potential
Deep experience in assessing organizational needs and developing a variety of learning solutions to drive development and growth within the company
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and leverage new learning technologies, platforms, and digital tools
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and modern learning technology platforms including learning experience platforms and talent experience solutions

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.

$84,000-$180,000USD
