Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary:

This position is in support of the Presidio Trust Department of Public Safety. This role involves overseeing the establishment and modernization of policies and managing multiple projects involving research, analysis, and implementation. Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting and facilitating the establishment and modernization of policies, regulations, and relationships

  • Managing and consulting on multiple projects that involve research, analysis, development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of administrative and business management, including policy, procedures, and guidelines, to effectively meet the operational requirements of the agency

  • Overseeing multiple projects and programs, including reviewing, assessing, and developing project teams

  • Developing program and project timelines and deliverables and provide regular updates to the Department of Public Safety (DPS) Director

  • Advising DPS Director of best practices and industry standards when requested

  • Developing and maintaining a detailed overall program schedule with key milestones, including review dates and process for feedback

  • Identifying support staff for individual projects, including vendors to meet the project's needs analysis

  • Reviewing current version of material identified in the needs analysis; review policies, procedures, regulations, and guideline drafts as well as any other ancillary documents and information; and compile a list of initial recommendations

  • Contributing and leading strategy sessions to discuss vision of projects and written material as well as initial recommendations

  • Discussing desired and required updates, including any draft products

  • Providing meeting minutes and action items to review with the DPS Director

  • Developing questions and inquiries about required or missing information and create a list of questions to review with the DPS Director

  • Leading team meetings and coordinating with Presidio Trust and contract staff as necessary to provide required information and guidance

  • Supporting coordination and intelligence gathering between Presidio trust and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force

  • Supporting the Presidio Trust's DPS Drone program

  • Providing strategic regulatory support for policies and procedures relating to safety, law enforcement, and environmental compliance

    Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to act as the project leader in all phases of project execution and implementation and ensure all related objectives are fulfilled for each project

  • Ability to maintain day-to-day relationships and communications with stakeholders, vendors, and DPS staff

  • Ability to maintain a working relationship with all levels of management and staff to effectively interface on all projects and deliverables

  • Ability to display commitment in all support functions

  • Ability to establish a clear understanding of the organization's mission and requirements

  • Ability to perform related administrative functions

  • Ability to ensure project plans are developed to reach the intended audience with policies that are clear, easily read, and provide the right level of information to all individuals affected by the content

  • Ability to attend all relevant meetings associated with the position and complete tasks correctly and on time

  • Ability to assist in the development of policies, procedures, manuals, checklists, workflows, and form documentation in accordance with the Director's specifications

  • Ability to prepare, package, and present draft documentation for review and approval

  • Ability to interview subject matter experts and observe work processes

  • Ability to conduct research and analyses and write policy and procedure documentation in accordance with organizational goals and requirements outlined by the agency

  • Ability to test and evaluate process and workflow documentation to ensure accuracy and maximum efficiency

    Desired:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, business management, security administration, security management, security studies, or a similar field of study

  • 2+ years of experience as a project manager

    Work Setting and Environment:

  • Monday - Friday, normal working hours

  • Work is to be performed remotely
