Fortive Corporation Order Analyst in Remote, United States

As an Order Analyst, you will play a vital role within the Quote to Cash process, supporting the Revenue Operations and Sales teams. This position involves diligent reviews of orders for various transaction types and auditing of executed agreements, ensuring accurate and quality bookings. Your key responsibilities will include managing the quote approval process in CPQ, conducting quality checks on orders, ensuring accurate data for each sales opportunity and account in Salesforce and NetSuite, and correcting discrepancies based on order form information and existing data. Additionally, you will serve as a cross-functional partner and liaison to ensure smooth order management operations and effective financial reporting, sales commissions, and customer invoicing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process new quotes timely in Salesforce CPQ and ensure accuracy by reading and interpreting orders, auditing data entered in Salesforce by the sales team, and correcting discrepancies before processing order to NetSuite

  • Analyze and interpret contract and order data from contract to system to identify trends, discrepancies, and reason solutions

  • Understand products and services to determine appropriate processing and impact to bookings, commissions, and revenue

  • Maintain sale tax compliance through accurate recordkeeping of sales tax exemption certificates in Avalara ECM

  • Manage and process returns, cancellations and order corrections in Excel tracker and within NetSuite

  • Ensure all orders comply with company policies and internal controls including, but not limited to: maintaining files, supporting documentation, purchase orders, and other relevant information

  • Provide support to internal and external customers regarding order inquiries and issues. Maintain and update records and contracts of new and existing customers

  • Liaise with sales, quote-to-cash, customer support and other cross-functional teams to resolve order-related issues

  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance order accuracy and efficiency

  • Assist in other areas of quote-to-cash as needed

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in order management, data analysis, order-to-cash or a related role required

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Proficiency in Order Management, CRM, ERP software, Microsoft Excel (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce CPQ). Salesforce CPQ experience highly preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously required

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – curious about the ‘why’ required

  • Proven ability to successfully operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing organization

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
