Leidos Corporate Group has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Hardware Asset Manager , supporting IT Asset Management. ITAM focuses on asset lifecycle management, performs system catalogue and model management, and ensures regulatory and policy compliance. The goal of ITAM is to minimize risk and maximize HW, SW and Cloud investments.
The Hardware Asset Manager plays a crucial role in our operational strategy, responsible for hardware asset management processes, services, and capabilities. They will influence, align, and develop asset management practices to continuously improve and deliver critical foundational solutions. They are responsible for ongoing management of physical and/or virtual inventory through timely and documented asset audits.
The candidate will perform cost-benefit analysis and risk analysis related to asset management. They will be the first line of contact for asset questions, and data corrections and assist with maintaining the hardware asset product catalog, asset model management, end-of-life management, and capital asset attestation. The candidate will oversee the maintenance of hardware asset records including critical, minimal data: who, what, where, in the asset management application ServiceNow, and related CIs. The candidate must understand and enforce asset policies and data integrity.
The candidate must have strong analytical skills, organization, and the ability to operate in extremely high-pressure situations, successfully handle multiple priorities, and possess a high level of discipline while remaining flexible in a changing environment. The selected candidate must have prior people management and ServiceNow HAM Pro experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain effective asset management strategies, processes, and systems
Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware assets by managing deployment, utilization, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT assets via the system of record, in ServiceNow HAMPro
Establish key performance indicators, metrics, and reporting/dashboards, and ability to perform data analysis
Oversee Hardware Asset Management internal and external, manufacturer and regulatory audits
Make business process improvement recommendations by performing analysis and drafting possible solutions for future state enhancements and implementation steps
Translate complex concepts and policy into plain-language business operation documentation for internal and external stakeholders; maintain up-to-date work instructions
Establish and build relationships with other ITIL process owners, applicable tool owners and stakeholders to understand business objectives, data structure, and how CMDB and Asset Management processes will best support the enterprise and process specific objectives
Assist with formulating strategic roadmap and the daily end-to-end hardware asset management services in accordance with the ITAM policies
Develop and maintain Asset and CMDB architectural standards in alignment with the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and provide prescriptive guidance on service modeling within the Asset and CMDB in support of scalability, automation, and time to value
Establish exception reporting and procedures to investigate root cause and perform remediation
Excellent communication skills, able to develop tactical plans with minimal oversight
Excellent decision-making skills, based upon seeking input from others, analyzing input & using sound judgment
Potentially manage team of 2 - 5 IT asset management professionals: ability lead and coach others to success
Work with internal teams such as Finance, Procurement, Contracts, IT, business Sectors, as well as external vendors to maintain an accurate and healthy Asset Management program
Influence change management efforts across all phases of projects and initiatives to drive the culture of continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of prior Hardware Asset Management related experience, which must include 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects
Subject matter expert of hardware asset management practices
Knowledgeable in ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Costpoint
Skilled in building queries, reports, and dashboards in ServiceNow, and interpreting such data to inform business decisions
Experience working with major hardware vendors (IBM, Dell, HP, Cisco, etc.)
Proven experience with IT Asset and Configuration Management in ServiceNow HAMPro
Understanding of the relationship between IT Assets and Configuration Items
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate a proven ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines, superior critical thinking and technical problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and focus on delivering high quality work, strong organization, planning, and execution skills
Knowledge of the System/Software Development Lifecyle and Project Management Methodology, experience developing, managing, and implementing goals, plans, and technical complex processes
Understanding of Finance and Procurement (accounts payable, depreciation, net book value, fixed assets, sourcing)
US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
ServiceNow HAMPro certification
IAITAM Asset Management certification
Project Management skills and experience
Advanced data analysis and reporting skills particularly in Excel, PowerBI, Tableau
Please note that actual salary for this role is closer to the midpoint of the posted pay range.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
