Position Overview

As a Capacity Planning Analyst, you will provide capacity planning programs throughout the C&S network as it relates to existing, planned and potential volume. Work with with other key groups (e.g. Operations, Operations Planning, Slotting, Industrial Engineering, etc.) in the development and implementation of capacity programs to drive efficiency of product flow throughout the network.
Job Description
Refresh data models to keep baseline data at the ready for optimization and simulation.
Conduct operations research in order to develop accurate data models from a variety of data sources (MySQL, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server) as well as drawing information from operations teams.
Provide solutions to the product flow by commodity, customer and facility by utilizing capacity planning tools understanding pinch point and potential futures risks balancing impacts to peripheral facility operations, labor concerns and system constraints.
Partner closely with the slotting, engineering, operations, etc. to ensure the capacity analysis correlates to the actual executed slotted plan. Garner feedback from the slotting team to determine if capacity planning tools should be modified to better represent final end-state solution
Present actionable recommendations to finance teams, operations teams, and senior leadership teams with clear, concise communication and visual representations. Support finance teams with accurate metrics and rationale for operational changes.
Create and utilize tools that can quickly analyze product moves and customer/DC relationships to assist the sales team in determining potential for new business and the feasibility of proposed product flow and capacities
Work with the network modeling team to provide inputs for modeling capacity and analyze output to determine the feasibility of modeled solutions
Travel Required: Yes, but minimal (quarterly as needed)

Office/Hybrid: Office Temperature (65F to 75F)
Qualified candidate can be located near any of our US locations/facilities. Must be willing to travel when needed.
Skills
Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency & confidence with the MS-Office suite (esp. MS-Access, MS-Excel & MS-PowerPoint), and familiarity using & interacting with warehouse operating systems and labor-management systems.
Special Skills: Strong analytical skills
Other: Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong multi-tasking, communication and organizational skills with ability to adjust priorities on short notice, manage interruptions and work well under pressure
Years Of Experience
2+ years' distribution/warehousing experience in capacity planning and/or optimization.
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering / Business Analytics field a plus.
