RedHat Senior Sales Manager, SLED Sales in Remote, Texas
About the job
The Red Hat Public Sector Sales team is looking for a Sales Manager to lead the U.S. State and Local Government and Education (SLED) Central team. In this role, you will guide a team of sales associates in promoting the success of a multi-offering go-to-market strategy for Red Hat. You'll report to the Vice President and Head of SLED Sales and you’ll be closely involved in developing and implementing growth strategies and a comprehensive solutions approach to reach strategic customers for Red Hat. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do
Develop, coach, and mentor the Sales team to grow business and promote effective sales strategies
Motivate and inspire your team while taking on competitors as Red Hat gains market share in enterprise markets
Guide the sales team to achieve quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets by establishing sales goals and monitoring achievement
Maintain a close working relationship with other members of the SLED leadership team and contribute to the strategic and tactical success of Red Hat's public sector business and the company as a whole
What you will bring
8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in an enterprise technology organization
5+ years of experience selling to state, local, and higher education markets
Deep knowledge of IBM
Proficiency in profit and loss (P&L) management and marketing strategies that contribute to success
Demonstrated ability to use personal knowledge, processes, and solutions selling strategies and methodologies to meet revenue growth objectives
Relationship-oriented with a professional appearance and proven ability to build credibility at all levels within a customer organization, including C-level executives
Effective approach to managing your team of sales professionals
Experience managing approximately a $50M license sales team or $20M subscription sales team is a plus
