GEA SaaS is looking for a Sr Software Engineer to work as part of Flight Analytics team.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure

• Work with Product Owners to understand product requirements & vision

• Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards

• Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities

• Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables

• Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products

• Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge

• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project

• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance

• Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen

• Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness

Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

Technical Qualification

Expertise in Flight Analytics domain, either by having flight data experience or flight operations experience.

Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and C++ and C# coding principles

Hands-on Cloud Experience, on Azure Services and functions

Knowledgeable at MFC Applications

Knowledgeable of development with COM/DCOM

Commercial Software Product execution know-how with multiple customers and stakeholders

Experience on devops by creating and maintaining automated build tools and processes like Terraform, managing Arm templates and Azure Devops

Experience on Microsoft Active Directory

Strong capabilities in automated operations

Excellent scripting skills in PowerShell and/or similar technologies

Experience with Azure Firewall and aware of cybersecurity technologies

Able to implement root cause analysis for urgencies/defects/issues and contribute/own required solution

Familiar with DR and back-up strategies/technologies and able to apply when required

Experience and desire to work on IaaC development

Able to analyze RoI and apply as an decision making input on cloud operations in Azure

Knowledge around monitoring technologies (like New Relic) and alert management

DBA skills and ASP.NET know-how is a plus
