GE Healthcare Field Service Engineer 2 - Nashville, TN / 2nd Shift in Remote, Tennessee

Job Description Summary

The Field Engineer II will perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on our life-changing medical equipment for one or more modalities within a hospital or healthcare system.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose equipment problems and recommend necessary repairs/services

• Provide accurate and timely feedback to customers and GE personnel

• Ensure excellent communication between the customer, sales, marketing and manufacturing departments

• Ensure all field engineering activities are carried out in compliance with regulatory and quality systems

• Establish effective working relationships with customers and GE personnel

• Contribute to training sessions for new employees

• Develop and maintain an adequate level of knowledge regarding GE products, software, test equipment, service tools, etc., so as to be able to effectively support the customer base

• Undertake continuous improvement projects which lead to improved customer satisfaction and business profitability

• Demonstrates ownership by being accountable for results and takes initiative to solve problems

Qualifications:

• Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree, military education in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering/ or High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment.

• 2+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment

• Desirable: Experience in CT field service

• Ability to commit to the safety and quality standards set by GE

• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing

• Excellent analytical skills

• Self-motivated to learn new tasks quickly

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)

• Availability to work flexible hours and travel to various sites

• Must have own transportation means to get to different locations for customer service support.
