Job Overview

TE Connectivity's ICT Operations Finance Teams is a key business partner to the ICT Operation Team. We develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. We perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. We gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize actionable recommendations for financial plans related to operational performance both historically as well forward looking.

The Industrial & Commercial Transportation (ICT) Business Unit is a $1.7B business with over 4,500 employees located across the AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager of Global Consolidations.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Working closely with the Global Operations Finance Director, this position will take lead of Global Operations Finance Consolidation, Reporting and help craft the Storytelling for the ICT Operation Finance Team. The role will be responsible for activities relevant to the Operations Finance area, including strategic forecasting, budgeting, identifying trends, variance drivers (as performance measurement), preparing presentations, responding to senior management regarding data interpretation and providing recommendations. Additional responsibilities include proactive coordination and collaboration with various internal and external business partners to gather information for use in financial projections and data analysis, reviewing financial reports, and preparing financial planning presentations for senior management. This position also serves as a critical part of the annual budget process – planning the budget timeline, consolidating functional budgets, and preparing the final presentation for senior management. This position works closely with other teams throughout the year, assisting with variance reporting, other various ad-hoc impact analyses and continuous improvement projects.

Primary job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Ops Finance on Goal’s & Objectives, Cadence | Calendar of events

  • Consolidate regional actual and forecast inputs for PnL (Monthly | Quarterly | Annual | 5yr Plan, (YoY | FoF | Sequential))

  • Purchase Price Variance (PPV)

  • Manufacturing Variance (MVAR)

  • Other Cost of Sales (OCOS, (Shipping / Distribution, Reserves, Inventory Adjustments))

  • Inventory (Balance sheet item for cashflow)

  • Calculate the Capitalized Variance (CapVar)

  • Primary Business Partner to Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Operations Excellence, Quality and TEOA leadership

  • Consolidate regional inputs for Productivity Reporting

  • Material Productivity (Commercial, OMP, VAVE)

  • Conversion Productivity

  • Tie Productivity to PnL

  • Drive Cost Savings Standardization Globally (TEBIT | Footprint)

  • Project Definition | Calculations | Output Summaries

  • Regional Alignment of TEBIT and Footprint projects and status

  • TEBIT project approval standards, timing, performance

  • Consolidation | Reporting | Analysis

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor or above in Finance, accounting, or related discipline

  • 8+ years’ experience in manufacturing related finance

  • Managerial experience preferred

  • Solid knowledge of operation finance, with solid costing knowledge preferred

  • Strong data analytical skills and internal control with good communication skills

  • Proficiency with data analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx

  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines

  • Practical hands-on approach, and self-motivated

  • Continuous improvement spirit always seeks for better solution rather than follow existing process

  • Willing to take more responsibility, entrepreneurial spirit

  • Fluent in English

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $144,000 – 217,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
