GE Healthcare Clinical Applications Specialist - Ultrasound in Remote, Ontario

Job Description Summary

As the Clinical Application Specialist (CAS), you will deliver technical and clinical expertise within the Ultrasound portfolio by providing excellent education and training support to clinical end-users. You are a clinical expert supporting the pre-sale product demonstrations (or clinical trial support), as well as post-sale installation, training and/or customer service activities to support sales objectives. Responsibilities may also include ongoing post-sale customer support including on site clinical in-servicing and go-live support. Candidates must be located proximally to a metropolitan, international airport. The candidate would be ideally located in Alberta or British Columbia.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and clinical leadership to customers by demonstrating the full range of Ultrasound product features including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers as needed.

  • Develop and deliver product training on equipment use to customers in General Imaging including Women's Health, MSK and Interventional Ultrasound.

  • Monitor customer installations of ultrasound products to improve customer satisfaction and maintain customer relationships.

  • Support trade shows and professional conferences by performing product demonstration and customer training.

  • Use market and product knowledge to assist sales team in developing sales, marketing, and customer service strategies.

  • Improve customer satisfaction and socket retention through continuing education on optimization of equipment utilization by customer.

  • Provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

  • 5+ years of imaging experience in a diagnostic clinical setting, preferably a hospital environment.

  • Willingness to travel extensively, with overnight stays depending on business need.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules as required by customer and business needs, including weekends.

  • Working knowledge of electronic file management and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Ability to teach and train in an effective and organized manner.

  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.

  • Strong analytical thinking, for product troubleshooting.

  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Valid Driver's License and Passport.

  • Must be located proximally to a metropolitan, international airport.

Desired Characteristics

  • Clinical experience in teaching hospital/university/research settings.

  • Specialized advanced registrations: Cardiac, Vascular, MSK.

  • Experience in adult training, including presentation experience.

  • Ability to build rapport, establish credibility and create a non-threatening environment for learning.

  • Multilingual.

  • Located in Alberta or British Columbia.
