Scholastic Product Marketing Manager in Remote, New York

Job Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

Scholastic Education Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, creative thinker to join our Education Solutions marketing team. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the go-to-market strategy of their assigned product portfolio, and will work in close partnership with marketing, sales and product development to develop, manage and execute marketing plans. As the market & product expert, the incumbent will collaborate across the organization to manage product launches, support product lifecycle, conduct market research, and use data to refine the strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive Product Decisions with Data

  • Provide strategic direction into product opportunity to ensure new solutions are a strong product/market fit that are differentiated & meet critical market needs

  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of products in the portfolio to position them in a way that reflects their strengths while aligning with market issues, curriculum trends, and customer needs.

  • Monitor relevant industry trends to develop market insights to inform product strategy and sales tactics

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, technologies, and competitive analyses to identify new opportunities which ultimately serve the long-term strategy to position products.

  • Define and track product and portfolio success using metrics.

Communicate Across Departments

  • Collaborate with marketing and product development to inform and communicate marketing strategy to internal and external clients.

  • Manage relationship with external thought partners, vendors and freelancers to ensure parties are informed of list development, sales trends, and campaigns.

  • Present Scholastic Education Solutions products in an organized, accurate, and motivating manner to internal clients and external stakeholders

Support Scholastic Education Solutions Sales Team

  • Customize the sales message using data and competitive knowledge research to target messaging and campaigns to customer needs,

  • Work with field, inside and strategic sales teams to ensure product knowledge and competitive differentiators are disseminated accordingly.

  • Collaborate with RFP team to ensure products are represented accurately during state adoption processes and district RFPs.

  • Creates sales messaging and required sales tools.

  • Support conference and customer event presence with events team and regional marketing.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of successful product marketing experience

  • 3+ years of experience working with cross functional teams

Education:

BS/BA in Marketing, Psychology, Education or equivalent professional experience
