What you'll do... :
JOB SUMMARY
The Data Visualization Developer will assist the organization as it evolves from a cross-tabular reporting environment to utilizing dashboards leveraging the Looker software product. This position will be a key member of the team tasked with transforming the enterprise reporting platform to a visually impactful dashboard environment with robust analytical capabilities. Additionally, this role will consult directly with IT and Business Users to build reports and dashboards based on their needs. Strong communication skills will be key, as it will be necessary to effectively share data insights with IT and Business teams. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in data storytelling and dashboard design with a proven ability to create visually compelling, interactive reports and dashboards to communicate meaningful data insights.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement impactful business visualizations, dashboards, and reports to deliver consumer insights.
Iteratively deliver business intelligence solutions as part of a collaborative team made up of members from several financial, operational, data and analytics disciplines.
Develop complex queries, views, and stored procedures to support business intelligence visualizations.
Develop and maintain business intelligence semantic models to power self-service and data discovery for marketing and business users.
Develops understanding of data environment and leverages knowledge to build robust, scalable solutions.
Provide production support and solve complex business intelligence challenges.
Ensure all data is appropriately validated.
Communicate the status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to all stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline.
2+ years of proven experience building and operating business intelligence solutions for analysis.
Demonstrated ability understand business needs and translate those into meaningful and immersive visualizations, dashboards, and reports that drive business insights using Looker.
Strong facilitation and consensus building skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills.
Proven experience developing and operating business intelligence semantic models.
Proficient in SQL.
Experience with Looker software for report and dashboard creation.
Familiarity with HTML and CSS languages.
Knowledgeable in querying data stored using a broad range of data modeling techniques.
Ability to concisely document data processes.
