GE Aerospace Europe Compensation Manager in Remote, United Kingdom

Job Description Summary

The Compensation Manager - Europe, in partnership with the EMEA Compensation Leader, is responsible to provide partnership, execution and communication of GE Aerospace compensation programs and policies in the EMEA region, with a primary responsibility in UK but also for other countries with hourly population.

This role will liaise with HR, Total Rewards, and cross-functional partners to deliver strategic, high-quality, innovative, and efficient programs and guidelines. Effectively linking policy and governance to the operational delivery throughout a geographically dispersed workforce.

This is a full time remote (home based role).

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Analyse market compensation survey results and track competitive position, market trends and insights. Provide complex market analyses, recommendations and solutions to compensation issues that arise during the year.

  • Design and manage competitive salary structures, market pricing and establish and formulate business case and recommendations for stakeholder approval.

  • Support the company’s annual compensation cycle and lead the execution of those processes with special focus on Europe, partnering with Global Compensation Practices team to achieve effective implementation and delivery of global compensation programs locally.

  • Lead regional pay equity initiatives.

  • Deliver Total reward education sessions within the region to develop and enhance HR competency on topics like reward programs, policies, tools and benefits.

  • Provide accurate and timely advice to HR and Operations management on the appropriate total rewards strategy, and correct policy application.

  • Utilise lean tools to create standard work processes for salaried and hourly compensation programs, working in concert with the Total Rewards team and other cross-functional partners to create a cohesive approach across our salaried and hourly programs.

  • Working with the EMEA Compensation Leader, ensure consistent adherence to all legal and compliance requirements in the countries we operate. Includes working with internal legal resources and external advisors to interpret and implement complex decisions.

  • Partner closely with a cross-functional team of stakeholders including Human Resources, Total Rewards, Finance, Legal and Communications.

  • Contribute to broader global projects as required.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Economics or Statistic

  • Previous direct experience in compensation and benefits or HR client management with multinational companies or large corporations at corporate/regional/global level

  • Preferred experience in consulting firm, with solid experience with job matching/levelling in hourly compensation projects

  • Lean working knowledge and experience

  • Location: United Kingdom, Ireland, or Germany

  • EU or UK Work Permit

  • Fluent in English

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong track record in developing and conducting projects unilaterally in all stages – planning, kick off, work coordination, proposal, implementation, and handover to local HR.

  • Strong analytic aptitude, including the capacity to communicate insights drawn from data using data visualisation and written conclusions.

  • Ability to work under broad or limited supervision.

  • Logical, structured, and process-orientated thinking

  • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; quick adaptability to systems, tools and process
