Description
Intergro, a division of Bunzl, is seeking a Branch Controller for our office in Clearwater. As a professional agricultural solutions company, Intergro provides the products professional growers need to maximize marketable yields and improve profits.
The Controller will direct the financial accounting and reporting activities of the organization and establish accounting procedures and reporting guidelines. The Controller is responsible for executing current processes at a high level while modernizing the system and improving processes, ensuring the integrity of the department’s policies. Responsibilities will include overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash accounting, preparation of financial statements, coordination with external auditors, tax filings, and monitoring capital expenditures.
Responsibilities:
Effectively collaborate with business partners and leadership team when providing financial guidance used to drive the business’s sustained profitable growth
Manage Accounting staff, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Assess, define and execute specific opportunities with organic gross margin, working capital, and operating efficiencies
Implementation and compliance of IFRS, GAAP, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data and safeguarding of company assets
Accounting close process
Prepare financial reporting data as required
Prepare financial statements and other reports for management that summarize results of the operations
Prepare budget variance and trend analysis of profit and loss/balance sheet accounts and various financial/operational ratios
Review analysis with management to assist operating locations in meeting financial and operational objectives
Coordinate and prepare annual budgets
Coordinate financial audits with external/internal auditors and assist Corporate with other financial related regulatory audits
Review, analyze and monitor bad debt and inventory provision accruals
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Certified Public Accountant certification highly preferred
Minimum of 7-10 years of demonstrated experience in Accounting/Finance required
Strong technical knowledge of Accounting and Finance, as well as strong analytical skills
Specific knowledge of the import industry helpful
Previous knowledge of the SAP, TM1, HFM, and Blackline desired
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications
Must be successful in problem identification and resolution
Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of the principles of planning and organizing
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership ability; proactive with a strong sense of urgency
Minimal travel maybe required
