Location: Spain, Portugal

Overview of the Position
The Asset Performance Management (APM) Industry Principal in GE Vernova is a subject matter expert and strategic advisor who specializes in the optimization of asset performance. This position is primarily focused on clients from Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and Petrochemicals/Chemicals segments. It assists them in improving the operational efficiency, sustainability, and reliability of their assets by utilizing sophisticated APM technologies. The Industry Principal integrates extensive industry expertise with practical experience to assist clients in the creation of customized APM strategies that promote sustainability objectives and business success.
Main Duties
Provide leadership to the sales force to move prospects along the funnel. This involves leading customer workshops, selling roadmaps, and supporting the execution of those roadmaps, ensuring alignment between client outcomes and APM solutions.
Lead detailed discovery, develop value hypotheses that promote operational efficiency and sustainability by aligning APM solutions with client business outcomes. Create compelling, data-driven business cases that illustrate the financial, operational, and environmental advantages of APM solutions, with an added focus on efficiency and emission reductions.
Act as a thought leader by representing GE Vernova APM in global organizations, such as SMRP, GFMAM, WPiAM, PEMAC, and AMC. This includes active participation in societies, executing workshops at conferences, speaking engagements, and GE Vernova conferences. Contribute to industry forums, white papers, and events, with a focus on best practices for APM in asset-intensive industries.
Leverage experience to support customers in the practical application of APM to drive value creation and adoption. This includes demonstrating the use of APM tools and its value proposition at an enterprise scale, and sometimes providing detailed training on related APM principles.
Provide clients with guidance on how to align their APM strategies with sustainability objectives and industry standards. Assist them in implementing new technologies such as carbon management solutions and predictive analytics.
Asset-Intensive Industry Expertise and Field Experience
Field experience in Power Generation's Maintenance, Reliability, or Asset Performance Management is advantageous. Practical experience with renewable energy assets and decarbonization initiatives is a plus. Experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals/Chemicals is equally valuable, with a focus on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Experience in the implementation of sustainability-focused initiatives, including emissions reduction and risk-based maintenance, in asset-intensive industries.
Technology and Operational Excellence
Proven track record of deploying and scaling APM software solutions for reliability, integrity, and process safety.
Certifications such as CMRP, CMRT, CRE, CAMA, CSSBB, and IAM Certificate/Diploma. Awareness and understanding of the competitive landscape in APM technology providers/service providers/consultants.
Demonstrated proficiency in optimizing and monitoring both conventional maintenance KPIs (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, OEE) and environmental performance indicators (e.g., energy efficiency, emissions).
Exposure to sustainability and carbon management programs and solutions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Drive the adoption of APM solutions to improve asset performance and support sustainability initiatives to achieve regional sales objectives (orders and revenue).
Demonstrate the value of APM in enhancing sustainability and efficiency to contribute to the creation of a long-term sales funnel.
Engagement of Stakeholders
Interact with leaders at client organizations to gain insight into their sustainability objectives and asset management goals. Act as a coach to C-level executives and upper management to enhance their vision of asset management and carbon strategies. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that APM strategies are executed seamlessly and that resources are aligned.
Technical Proficiency Necessary
Exposure to sustainability and carbon management solutions, as well as extensive experience with enterprise APM platforms that support reliability, integrity, and process safety. Expertise in predictive analytics for asset performance optimization.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
10+ years of experience in Asset Performance Management, with a comprehensive understanding of industry segments like Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals/Chemicals, and Power Generation.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in carbon management is a plus.
Desired industry certifications include: CMRP, CMRT, CRE, CAMA, CSSBB, IAM Certificate/Diploma, ASQ-CRE, EFNMS certifications.
Exceptional ability to align APM strategies with sustainability objectives, assisting clients in achieving energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and asset reliability goals.
Strong ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to senior executives, with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Fluency in English is required, with fluency in two additional EU official languages preferred.
