Meta Hearing DSP Engineer in Remote, Denmark

Summary:

Meta is inventing the future of augmented reality — the natural technological evolution of mobile computing. We believe that a key component of this mission is to improve and enhance human hearing and audio sensing. We are looking for an exceptional Audio DSP Engineer to join our growing team. You have a deep skill set in signal processing for hearing enhancement and a passion for improving users’ ability to experience the world around them. In this position, you will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, research scientists, and designers to develop novel hearing enhancement technologies. You will focus on designing and integrating state-of-the-art hearing enhancement algorithms to AR/VR products to create new experiences beyond what traditional consumer devices are capable of.

Required Skills:

Hearing DSP Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Develop hearing enhancement algorithms from concept to product in Matlab, Python, and C/C++

  2. Develop hearing enhancement algorithms that meet system-level constraints for wearable audio devices with microphones and speakers

  3. Strong collaboration with the interdisciplinary audio team, to deploy new technologies in AR/VR products

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

  2. Expertise in hearing enhancement signal processing and auditory perception

  3. Understanding of how end-to-end audio systems work including transducers, audio ICs, acoustics, embedded DSPs, etc.

  4. 6+ years experience creating efficient real-time audio algorithms

  1. MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields

  2. Experience with application of machine learning techniques to hearing enhancement algorithms

  3. 2+ years of feedback management system design and implementation
