Job Description Summary

The Senior Director - Software Engineering (f/m/d), Verisound Clinical Ultrasound will create and maintain a world-class engineering and technical organization, including collaborating across functions, to deliver a multi-generational product portfolio for Verisound Clinical to meet customer needs and grow market technology leadership. This leader will be a senior-level member of the Verisound Clinical leadership team.

The preferred location is our Munich office, but the position can also be filled in our other Europe sites with a willingness to travel.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Establish a technology vision and strategy to maintain global competitiveness across our Verisound Clinical product portfolios. (ViewPoint and MyImageCloud) Oversight of the execution of the product and technology roadmap, project schedule and resource planning across all projects. Ensure engineering designs meet business objectives, including speed to market, design for reliability and supportability , and cost.

• Build and further develop a world class technology innovation culture across the Verisound Clinical team including Munich, Germany, Bangalore, India, Budapest, Hungary. This includes organizational design and development, budget, vision, strategy, and its functional activities – recruitment & retention of diverse talent, technical and team development, and ongoing coaching & mentoring of engineering leaders and engineers.

• In conjunction with the product management team, drive technology synergies across the Ultrasound portfolio to improve efficiencies and create great customer value.

• Define and execute transition of ViewPoint on-prem solution to the cloud, partnering internally and externally to drive commonality and speed in the cloud transition.

• Partner with product management team to define next generation reporting workflow utilizing AI & GenAI to enhance efficiency, accuracy and standardization. While defining data management strategy to support this important shift.

• Build and maintains a high performing innovation culture that ensures outstanding compliance and product quality in alignment with the GEHC QMS and regulations related to the business’ technology and products.

• Implements and ensures agile and lean product development concepts into the organization to increase design & development efficiency and embraces modern methods of development for speed and quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/Science or equivalent within an appropriate discipline.

• Several years progressive experience as an engineer or scientist within the appropriate field of study.

• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.

• Team oriented with ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional and global teams.

• Innovation - Lead teams to develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas.

• Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment; takes ownership of issues and drive solutions.

Additional desired Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Engineering or Science

• Technical expertise in Ultrasound

• Innovative and disruptive mindset with proven record of leading successful digital product transformation

• Product, Clinical, Technology & Scientific Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of patient/customer and segment related clinical applications and workflow as well as scientific/engineering methods/theory with an affinity for technology and clinical solutions.

• Product Life Cycle: Demonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire new product development cycle, managing Field Maintenance Instructions (FMIs) and Installed Base releases.

• Proven track record to lead and drive global teams to deliver on business and program goals Previous experience in regulated medical device company.

• Six sigma/5S/Lean trained
