Job Description Summary
In Advanced Mechanical Design, we design and test innovative solutions for the future of our business. Join our dynamic team as the Mechanical Leader for the next Low-Pressure Turbine (LPT) module rig test, advancing the state-of-the-art in LPTs for our RISE Open Fan technology demonstrator engine program. This role is a technical leadership role and is vital to the development of our next generation of commercial aircraft engines. You will be at the core of our New Technology (NTI) initiatives, collaborating with international teams to shape the future of aviation. This position has the flexibility of a fully remote working setup or an optional hybrid schedule (working in the office / working from home).

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Lead the LPT rig mechanical design satisfying program and internal design requirements. Spearhead a culture of collaboration within the LPT rig mechanical team, aligning with our core values and integrating within the global mechanical and RISE Open Fan teams.
Project Management: Coordinate with interfacing disciplines and cross-functional teams to ensure successful LPT technology and program execution.
Execution: Ensure the LPT rig mechanical team meets milestones by prioritizing tasks and maintaining accountability for deliverables.
Communication: Keep open and effective communication channels with all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and humility.
Continuous Improvement: Leverage lessons learned from prior GE rig tests, advocate for safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC), always in that order.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience in the broader aviation industry.
Desired Characteristics
Advanced degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with a turbomachinery focus.
Profound experience in mechanical design of turbomachinery components.
Expertise in turbine and test rig mechanical development and design integration.
Strong technical project management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
Experience in leading global, collaborative projects.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
