Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. Training & Development Specialist in Remote, Delaware

Join the Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) team as a dynamic Training & Development Specialist! This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work from one of our offices in Northern Delaware, Maryland, or Eastern Pennsylvania. Reporting to the Director of Learning and Talent Development, you'll spearhead employee engagement strategies, design and deliver company training programs, and manage the onboarding/orientation process for new team members. You will effectively conduct talent assessments, measure training effectiveness, and identify key areas for employee growth and retention. Training & Development Specialist Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with employees, managers, and senior leaders.

  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.

  • Focuses on people development for entry level/new graduate team members, Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.

  • Conducts 30-day new hire engagement survey, analyzes feedback and reports out improvement opportunities.

  • Develops training programs to fulfill employees specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.

  • Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.

  • Presents training and development programs using various forms (in person and/or virtual) and formats for groups and individuals.

  • Assesses training materials prepared by instructors.

  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.

  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.

  • Evaluates e-learning programs that promote development and growth of employees.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong presentation and collaboration abilities across functional areas

  • Proficient in multimedia training platforms and methods

  • Skilled in designing and implementing effective training programs

  • Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Business, Psychology, Organization Development or experience in field required.

  • At least two years of training experience required.
