Summary
The Senior Business Analyst’s role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations business processes that optimize the best use of our technologies. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Senior Business Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling business and technical requirements based on the findings, system configurations changes, testing, and status reports complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of AV’s Enterprise System Applications.
Position Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Meet with management, decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve Enterprise Application systems issues.
Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
Acquisition & Deployment
Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing Enterprise applications.
Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
Operational Management
Primary support for UKG AutoTime – Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Labor Cost Accounting, Project Costing, Compliance, Reporting and Analytics.
Create adhoc queries and scripts to analyze data and support operational requests.
Timely follow-up, investigation, troubleshooting and resolution of Help Desk issues for Business Application Support.
Coordinate with other business system analysts in Projects, Financials, and other areas to resolve cross-functional issues. Collaborate with the DBA/SysAdmin in Application of new Family packs and coordinate system integration testing with other module leads.
Identify potential system problems and escalate to other department contact for resolution; Work with customers in establishing the appropriate expectation and response time.
Reviews Help Tickets related to Kronos (UKG) Workforce AutoTime and resolves issues.
Documents as-is/to-be business processes, configuration scripts, and other associated functional specifications from end user requirements.
Interpret business requirements and understand how UKG AutoTime can be configured to meet those needs.
Coordinate, and implement plans to test business and functional processes and quality assurance testing. Lead functional acceptance testing of patches and upgrades. Train and document processes.
Analyze and solve complex problems, provide documentation, guidance, and instruction to users at all levels.
Act as an expert to review business requirements, process and solution design and recommend feasible IT solutions as well as provide a cost benefit analysis of project if not statutory
Advise on any new solutions for business applications integration and functionality.
Create review and maintain detailed process flows, future state design, and functional design documents for the functional area supported.
Support SOX compliance processes and tasks related to HCM and financial systems.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Finance and/or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
5+ years of experience with UKG AutoTime with expertise in Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Labor Cost Accounting, Project Costing, Compliance, Reporting and Analytics.
Strong knowledge of XML, interfaces, workflows, data mapping and converting architectural designs into functional documentation.
Strong knowledge of logical database design and ability to understand and create SQL queries.
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
Advanced degree is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles and procedures preferred.
Extensive experience working on projects related to financial systems.
Experience working with the Kronos support opening SRs with Kronos (UKG) Workforce AutoTime, follow-up and issue resolution.
Strong communication skills: oral presentations, writing, negotiation, active listening, influencing positive team dynamics.
Ability to work in a multi-project environment and support multiple internal customer/departments.
Demonstrates keen attention to detail as well as strong analytical, time management and creative problem-solving skills.
Uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
Exhibits effective interpersonal, listening and communication skills (written and verbal)
Communicates ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

Occasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.
The salary range for this role is:
$133,630 - $189,420
