Territory Manager

VIC & TAS

The Territory Manager at Heska ANZ is responsible for driving effective sales and promotion of Heska's range of in-house diagnostic and imaging solutions. This role involves executing hardware and accessory installations, software connectivity, and delivering detailed hands-on in-clinic technical and clinical training, service, and support. You will be motivated and driven by results, able to maintain strong relationships to ensure our customers continue to choose Heska as their preferred diagnostics partner. This role will involve extensive travel across the VIC & TAS territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospect and drive new business opportunities within the territory.

  • Identify, qualify, and close leads and sales opportunities on a timely and consistent basis.

  • Manage, grow, and service the account base to ensure strong client relationships.

  • Maintain an expert knowledge of industry technology and products, both from Heska and competitors.

  • Represent Heska in a professional manner at trade shows, business travel, meetings, calls, and in all internal and external communications.

  • Plan, schedule, organise, and document chemistry and hematology analyser installations along with veterinary clinic staff.

  • Ensure compliance with training standards to facilitate successful implementation.

  • Review and provide optimisation suggestions for individual clinic sample handling, workflow, and patient results management.

  • Facilitate repeated clinic staff training as needed to ensure optimal customer retention, analyser usage, and maximum analyser up-time.

  • Deliver a high level of customer service and satisfaction to optimise customer retention.

  • Address technical issues in identified clinics requiring re-training, analyser maintenance, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven sales experience, preferably within the veterinary, reference, or inhouse laboratory sector.

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to close.

  • Working knowledge of the veterinarian and/or clinical diagnostic environment.

  • Goal-oriented professional with strong relationship building and closing skills.

  • Proficient in oral and written communications, both internally and externally, with excellent presentation skills.Strong attention to technical detail, with the ability to convey and teach information concisely.

  • Strong internal and external customer focus

  • Intermediate computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment, including Excel, and demonstrated skills in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires travel and the ability to drive a motor vehicle.

  • Interstate and international travel is required from time to time.
