The Opportunity:
DAF Network Modernization for bases including performing site surveys, walk in and take over existing BAN, develop network modernization design, implement a modernized design and operating a modernized campus network across a five-year period of performance.
Under limited guidance, this position serves as the on-site lead and customer point of contact for the Air Force Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) program. This position serves as a Technical Project Manager that supervises and reports on the work of a project team, vendors, and/or subcontractors on a specific base or multiple bases.
Award for this program is currently projected for Oct/Nov 2024
Responsibilities:
• Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the SECRET level (required to perform the duties of the position)
• Provide project support for multiple teams conducting initial site surveys.
• Monitor progress and quality/workmanship of the installation/implementation teams and report problems/progress/status to Sr. Program Manager
• Manage teams responsible for Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Securing, and Testing of network solutions per the approved engineering installation plan, documenting install progress and coordinating any deviations through Program Manager and Government IPTL
• Create Project Change Requests to include design, quote, installation, and acceptance as needed during project lifecycle to keep up with evolving project/customer changes and requirements.
• Oversee the acceptance, inventory, and storage of materials – coordinate delivery of materials from storage location to the installation site as required to meet the installation schedule.
• Coordinate building/site access and other requirements with post personnel based upon the implementation schedule.
• Provide projections for all work descriptors to be installed monthly and quarterly to the Project Manager.
• Provide actual start and finish dates for all summary tasks in the schedule to Project Manager weekly. Ensure schedules are met or completed prior to due dates. Provide any schedule delays to the Project Manager
• Ensure that all work sites and work areas are kept orderly, clean, and safe.
- Ensure that contract specifications and quality are met whether explicitly or implicitly implied per the TO requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Management or other related discipline and 3-5 years of related experience or a combination of skills, education, and experience
Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP)
Telecommunications knowledge and experience
Experience in managing/overseeing teams working on-site at multiple locations simultaneously to include sub-contractors.
Perform advanced user capabilities of Microsoft software applications as required primarily Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint & Word
OSHA 30
Desired:
Experience working within a large Air Force Program is a plus.
Experience managing a large program for any US Government agency.
Experience working Modernization Projects for the US Military

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.
The proposed salary range for this position is:
$62,200-$130,600
