We look for a Senior Technical Sales Specialist Bioproduction – Pharma Analytics

Switzerland, part of Germany - Remote

As Senior Technical Sales Specialist you will be responsible for the development and execution of Pharma Analytics Business (instruments and consumables) in the respective region. This portfolio includes validated molecular assays to analyze process- and product-related impurities and to detect microbial contamination in the Biopharma manufacturing environment, under cGMP conditions. These highly sensitive and rapid tests are used in-process as well as lot release solutions in Quality Control.

You will develop the business plan, develop mid- and long-term objectives, sales strategies, pricing strategy and customer happiness goals. The new colleague will operate at a senior level in the Customer organization with key opinion leaders for Analytics in close collaboration with global Market Development, with Product Management as well as with the Account Management colleagues and with the Field Application Specialist teams locally.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and complete business objectives to continue and expand the adoption of Rapid Molecular Methods in Development, Production and QC

  • Selling at all levels with the technical, manufacturing, and commercial partners

  • Handle Key Accounts, together with the Bioproduction Account Managers based in the regions, some of which may span to other global geographies

  • Build and implement a plan for market development in the region

  • Complete all existing and develops new sales opportunities within the territory to meet or exceed targets

  • Act at high level with key influencers and relevant regulatory departments to drive business using a Top-Down approach

  • Provide accurate forecast and lost order reporting as well as competitive information on a regular basis

  • Ensure that all vital resources needed are used efficiently and effectively to increase our business

  • Co-ordinate all issues with key clients between sales, service, support, customer services, marketing, and finance within the Bioproduction organization and cross-divisionally.

Your Qualification:

  • Profound knowledge of Pharma/BioPharma Development, Manufacturing and QC

  • Degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or equivalent

  • Min 3-5 years previous experience in Sales position, preferably with domain knowledge from BioPharma / Pharma Industry

  • Knowledge of Q-PCR and DNA Sequencing technology platforms desired

  • Highly organized individual

  • Proven record of achieving business objectives and measuring performance toward those objectives

  • Self-motivated individual, capable of working in a pan-European team

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient communication (oral and written) in English and German.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region that includes Switzerland and part of Germany
