MAJOR FUNCTION:

  1. Coordination of recruitment and orientation of new plant personnel
  2. Administrative control of Applicant Tracking Website
  3. Maintain and update all plant social media and recruiting websites.
  4. Maintains adequate production manning to meet plant production requirements
  5. Assist HR Team in all facets of customer service to plant employees.
  6. Reports to the General Manager of Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Following and implementing all plant safety rules
  2. Attend collegiate, department of labor, and local career fairs
  3. Create job descriptions for new positions as plant expands operations
  4. Create job postings, both internally and externally throughout multiple avenues
  5. Handle internal applicant process by reviewing applications, scheduling and conducting internal interviews with a selected interview team, assess interview scores and communicate results.
  6. Handle external applicant process through ATS, including but not limited to: sorting applications/resumes, reviewing resumes with department leaders, scheduling interviews, requesting and following up on background checks, extending an offer, and documenting applicants through the process
  7. Assist with on-boarding process of new associates for the purpose of ensuring associates are knowledgeable of current practices and administrative processes
  8. Work with Department Leaders to track plant manning, assess department manning needs, and create action plan.
  9. Act as a liaison with external recruiting resources
  10. Work with Plant Trainer to communicate and execute training opportunities
  11. Coordinate training schedules plant wide, including new hire training, annual training, annual re-certifications, management training, and specialized external training
  12. Conduct plant wide communications not limited to: Open Enrollment, Annual Training, HR information sessions, policy changes, etc.
  13. Manage personnel files to ensure accuracy and maintain organization
  14. Assist HR team during Open Enrollment to collect and update insurance changes.
  15. Assist in documentation of disciplinary actions of associates including investigations, paperwork, and communication.
  16. Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective functioning HR team

  1. Assumes other duties as assigned by HR GM.

PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:

  1. B.A. in Human Resources, Management, or equivalent
  2. 2 years experience in management position or equivalent
  3. Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development. Well-developed administrative skills. Strong management skillsprinciples and people.

  1. Positions accountable to the General Manager, Human Resources, for all phases of their activities.
  2. Advises, consults, and coordinates with department leaders with manufacturing organizational plans, succession plans, company policies, legal issues.
