This role requires full time on site presence.

We are hiring an Associate Producer assigned to video content management for our local Saskatchewan newsrooms.

Our newsrooms are vibrant, fast paced and rapidly evolving to meet constantly shifting audience needs with new and available technologies.

This Associate Producer role plays an integral part in enhancing the ability of our teams at CBC Saskatchewan to elevate and amplify daily and long form visual content. The successful candidate will be a main contact point connecting not only new content but also leveraging the vast CBC archival library to meet daily production and editorial needs.

Based in the Regina newsroom the position will be focused on content management which includes the following key responsibilities:

  • Managing live feeds and other records as necessary

  • Uses proper meta data techniques to compile and archive stock material

  • Navigating archival material and databases

  • Creating and managing local digital storage

  • Curating and packaging visual content and digital lineups for on demand and streaming platforms

Your profile:

  • Experience and proven ability with various technical platforms such as content management systems and digital publishing tools.

  • Ability to edit video and audio and experience editing with Avid or Adobe Premiere is an asset.

  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and enjoys varying tasks.

  • Ability to work effectively under deadline pressure and to work flexible hours as required.

  • Proven ability to write and edit videos, video headlines, and thumbnail photos using best practices for various platforms is also an asset.

  • Combination of education and experience equivalent to a post-secondary education and three (3) years of relevant experience in TV and media arts.
