Unit Leader YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Unit Leader, are to: Foster collaboration in a flat network of autonomous entrepreneurial teams called squads; Support Unit and Squad's focus on mission to deliver beneficial outcomes for all team members, customers, and stakeholders; Support the co-creation of value by flowing resources and expertise to support the development and delivery of the best product and customer experience; Inspire the development, exploration, and execution of creative ideas in rapid cycles (90 Day); Show up as your whole authentic self in creative mindset every day, focused on the success of all customers, stakeholders, and individuals within the team; Support squads needs to run daily production activities, enable them to execute daily production schedule to deliver the best product customer expertise; Be an escalation point for tasks and projects prioritization, problem solving continuous improvement, conflict resolution, displaying VACC behaviors and prioritizing the squad's self-organization first; Optimize squad members performance and development through empowerment and DSO principles , displaying VACC behaviors, coaching, feedback, discipline; Sponsor onePSS experts outside of the Unit as well; Close connection with other Unit Leads on and off site, supporting squad members to ensure the Unit members to ensure that the unit is receiving the support/resources they need to be successful. (Unit Gotos, engineers, advisors, etc.); Promotes fluid talent and resource unitization within the Unit, being outcome oriented; Ensure Unit compliance while empowering the squads as much as possible; Models VACC behaviors; Facilitating, the co-creation of a shared vision and higher purpose that resonate with customers (V)-designing, evolving and integrating the way we work, (A); Acting as an active multiple of change, removing obstacles and connecting different part of the system; Helping employees develop capabilities and mindsets to thrive and foster inclusion and empowerment; Monitor site P&L and provide assistance to teams as they ensure balance and alignment working; Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a company supplied vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties - regardless of mileage. WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; Prior experience in agriculture, seed production, manufacturing, or supply chain management; Basic user knowledge of standard computer programs (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, tablets/smart devices); Valid drivers' license (in order to be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company's risk screening for hiring drivers - Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening); Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons or when business needs require it, including occasional work on weekends and holidays. Preferred qualifications: BS in agriculture, engineering disciplines, Supply Chain Management or similar degree and a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience Or High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years of applicable experience; 5+ years' xperience in managing and developing teams; Leadership experience in manufacturing or supply chain ; Skilled at leading, managing conflict and negotiating with cross- functional teams; Demonstration of courage, candor and initiative in past assignments.
