Summary About the Position: This Organizational Advisor position is located at Redstone Arsenal, AL with the US Army Space and Missile Defense Center (SMDC), Deputy Chief of Staff G-1, Civilian Workforce Development Division. Incumbent will serve as a liaison to commander and management on human captial management and employee engagement issues. Responsibilities Provides human resource and employee engagement assistance to the organization. Presents formal and informal presentations to the Command staff on organizational and human capital management, or employee engagement issues. Facilitates discussions to prompt decision making in support of new employee engagement initiatives. Develops solutions to address employee engagement related personnel problems that are affecting the entire organization. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting organization with implementing employee engagement related tasks such as performance metrics, viewpoint surveys, Federal Viewpoint Surveys, or command climate surveys; And monitoring personnel metrics to analyze trends or problem areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes Information Oral Communication Organizational Performance Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-02/GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
