Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This recruitment is for a Acquisition Analyst with PEO-Missiles and Space. Responsibilities Responsible for the full range of acquisition planning and contract management functions required to support a project with a mission of development, acquisition, testing, integration, production, and fielding of assigned weapons systems Responsible for the full range of acquisition planning and contract management functions required to support a project. Serves as a primary representative on contract related task forces such as assisting in the development of solicitation packages and conducting reviews of contract specifications and contract changes. Makes reports to higher headquarters on status of contracts. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. One year of specialized experience which includes work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02. Specialized experience is defined as 1) Performing contract administration activities in support of aviation system projects or other weapons systems of similar complexity; 2) developing solicitation packages for various contracts in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures; 3 Providing advisement to program officials in procurement planning meetings in support of assigned programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02/GS-11 equivalent. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education Additional Information Direct Deposit of Pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
