Microsoft Corporation Technical Program Manager II in Redmond, Washington

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager II to help drive efforts in delivering quality experiences to our Azure users. We are part of the core Azure Compute team that focuses on system fundamentals, ensuring that our internal and external user expectations are met and exceeded in terms of performance, reliability, and scale.

Responsibilities

  • You will be part of a team that is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience with our Azure Compute platform and supporting offerings.

  • Delivery of end to end customer scenarios in partnership with development teams across Microsoft Azure, focusing on pre-production quality, performance, reliability, and scale.

  • You will lead deep engagements with Azure users and their partnerships within Azure Compute and partnering development teams.

  • Grow and cultivate our Pre-Production investments, ensuring the success of our users and our end to end customer validation scenario validations.

  • Develop measurements and derive insights that are designed to continuously raise the bar on behalf of our Azure users.

  • To succeed in this role, you should have technical and analytical skills, excellent cross-group collaboration, and a passion for customers. You should also have a track record of delivery, preferably in a distributed systems environment. Finally, you should be able to demonstrate both creativity and the ability to deliver on new ideas.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical disciplines.

  • Experience improving the Quality and Reliability of infrastructure products (preferably cloud-based systems).

  • Self-motivated, self-directed, able to functionally lead and motivate a high-energy team.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that operates at cloud scale.

  • Excellent cross-team collaboration skills.

  • A history of being data-driven in your approach, or when soliciting support for proposals/new ideas.

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
