As we drive to be the leading cloud platform in the world, Azure Core Trusted Platform team is looking for an exceptional Technical Program Manager II-Azure Core Trusted Platform to define the vision, strategy, and the roadmap for Azure Services to drive customers adoption of Microsoft Azure by connecting our technical experience, along with our customers vision and challenges directly to the engineering product teams, and as a result help to ensure Azure is the most compelling solution on the market.

We are looking for a program manager with technical and analytical skills, having a passion for driving great technology designs in partnership with local and remote teams. Responsibilities

  • Drive programs focused on getting Azure to reduce the time-to-market and cost of its hyper-scale footprint while meeting different specialized requirements from strategic industries.

  • Partner with Engineering Teams across Azure to deliver the services required by the customer.

  • Collaborate with others to define success criteria and performance metrics (Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs etc.) for your programs and work with your teams to track and report on execution against these regularly.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-team efforts to drive engineering solutions to technical challenges and deliver quality solutions to committed schedules and project plans.

  • Present plans and progress to executive audiences.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) of cloud infrastructure experience

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

  • Prior experience designing and/or building complex enterprise scale distributed systems.

  • Familiarity with software development tools and techniques.

  • Good experience of engineering practices and engaging engineering teams so that you can express and drive new feature requirements in Azure.

  • Be able to ramp quickly to understand and solve complex problems. This might be integration of technologies or environmental issues that are blocking a scenario for a customer.

  • Good experience of engineering practices and engaging engineering teams so that you can express and drive new feature requirements in Azure.

  • Ability to leverage telemetry and diagnostics to derive insights that add value to our program.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration skills & situational awareness

  • Metric-driven mindset and the ability to experiment, learn, and improve.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
