Our client in the technology industry is seeking a SQL Support Engineer to join their team. As a SQL Support Engineer, you will be part of the IT department supporting the SQL performance and high availability support cases. The ideal candidate will have excellent SQL skills, customer support experience, and troubleshooting abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

SQL Support Engineer

100% Remote

18 month contract

$48-$50/hour + 15 days of PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K saving options & weekly pay

What's the Job?

• Provide technical assistance to computer system users, answering questions or resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from a remote location

• Install software or perform hardware testing remotely

• Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors

• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities

• Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support

What's Needed?

• Minimum 10 years experience with SQL skills, particularly in performance issues and high availability

• Minimum 10 years experience with customer support or service experience

• Minimum 10 years experience with troubleshooting skills

• Associate's degree in computer related field or equivalent training required

• Candidates that lack SQL experience, have no prior support experience, or have experience limited to hardware or internal support will not be eligible for the role
