The IAM Protect team manages production tenants for all Microsoft Cloud. We are looking to hire a Software Engineer that will join our mission of protecting Microsoft Cloud by building and operating security services that will manage the identities used by thousands of services. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of security at Microsoft and leveraging your insights to protect Microsoft services and customers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and customers to gather requirements, provide feedback, and deliver solutions.

• Instrument data and develop metrics to measure usage, effectiveness, customer satisfaction and drive decision making

• Design and implement new components, features, and enhancements for identity management (as part of the SFI work for the company.)

• Debug and troubleshoot complex live site issues across diverse network, compute and storage technology stack.

• Write Engineering Documents such as Trouble Shooting Guide and Design Documents

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

o OR equivalent experience.

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

o OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

o OR equivalent experience.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
