Microsoft Corporation Senior Software Engineer in Redmond, Washington
The Senior Software Engineer will be a member of the executive office of the VP, reporting through the Chief of Staff, and requires someone who has technical depth across software engineer activities, a bias for action, and a customerfirst mindset. Your ability to partner successfully with a broad group of diverse stakeholders, from senior leaders to support staff, and translate business problems into technical solutions will be critical. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will coordinate processes and procedure improvement across multiple groups, architect and engineer tools to support those processes, and build solutions to assist the office of the VP in driving improvement across CHIE.
Coordinate engineering processes across multiple teams.
Architect and develop tooling to support engineers and data scientists in creating a single source of truth.
Craft data pipelines to coordinate polyglot data sources.
Influence across disciplines and teams to ensure we are making datadriven decisions and solving critical problems for our customers.
Communicate with technical and nontechnical audiences and contribute modeling expertise as a team player.
Bringing relevant data into a central system to create a single version of the truth.
• Mentor others and stay current with advances in the industry
Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of experience in full-stack development in C#, TypeScript, or related technologies.
5+ with SQL and NoSQL databases.
3+ years of leading technical teams and/or defining engineering processes and procedures.
3+ years with cloud-based technologies, preferred Microsoft Azure.
Experience taking a v1 team to formation to operation across multiple release cycles.
Experience with polyglot data pipelines - coordinating between different data sources such as text files, SaaS products, NoSQL databases, and SQL databases.
Experience with DevOps in a Agile/Scrum SDLC environment, preferably using Azure DevOps and GitHub. A certification such as AZ 400 would be a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication, and presentation skills - the ability to communicate complex findings in a simple manner.
Demonstrated ability to influence across multiple technical teams, organizations, and disciplines.
