Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Redmond, Washington
In the role of Senior Product Manager , you will be instrumental in defining safety standards that align with both government regulations and industry norms across all MSN properties. You will lead AI/ML model roadmap that supports the needs of various product teams that leverage our moderation capabilities. You will develop content moderation and understanding roadmap, fostering a safe, reliable, and enjoyable experience for users of MSN and the MSN community on Microsoft Start.

Your responsibilities will include developing safety features, devising technical strategies to enhance our trust and safety procedures, and identifying methods to detect and mitigate risky behaviors and actors within the community. You will work in close partnership with policy experts, engineers, data scientists, operations, and legal/PR teams to ensure a secure community experience. As a proactive project manager, you will oversee the integrity and delivery of products from start to finish.
Our teams are global, and you will engage with teams located in Beijing, Dublin, Cairo, and various locations in the United States.

Responsibilities
Define product vision and strategy, define the safety product roadmap, set success metrics that inform the success of safety efforts, and partner across the organization to deliver results.
Focus on building effective and scalable features and tools for high harm risk, minor safety, and misinformation to provide users with a safe experience.
Work with policy experts, as well as cross-functional partners, to establish a workflow to critically analyze, prioritize, and drive cross-functional efforts to achieve success. Develop a robust workflow for cross-team collaboration, manage large-scale product improvement projects to improve community safety.
Define policies for the service including compliance, privacy, and risk management parameters to meet industry and company standards.
Create scalable solutions that can be applied as a framework for solving multiple scenarios across different partners and use cases.
Collect and synthesize partner feedback, analyze metrics to maintain operating standards and constantly refine moderation capabilities.
Do competitive analysis across various User Generated Content platforms and build best-in-class community moderation system.
Educate and drive adoption of safety standards and policies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
MBA with concentration on either product management, product strategy, operations management, and corporate strategy.
Experience in data analysis for product design.
Knowledge of methods for researching and analyzing product designs to determine their potential for meeting organizational standards and business needs.
Experience designing product solutions based on evidence; delivering value-adding products, and/or organizational or process changes that benefit the business.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
