As a Senior Communications Manager for Windows Platform, PC Innovation & Silicon Partner Communications, you will collaborate closely with the Windows + Devices Communications (PR/AR) team to streamline communication efforts across our diverse product range. In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations of public relations, which includes orchestrating global narratives, executing proactive communications, spearheading product launches, fostering relationships with Microsoft’s silicon partners and handling influencer relations. You will work in tandem with engineering, marketing, and global communications teams to highlight Windows platform, PC and silicon innovations and their alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans to position Microsoft as a leader in Windows platform and PC innovation, collaborating closely with product teams to distill technical information into engaging narratives.

  • Drive the rhythm of the business through effective planning and execution of communication initiatives, identifying proactive storytelling opportunities to showcase the impact of Microsoft's products and initiatives on customers, industries, and society.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with silicon partners, serving as a liaison between Microsoft and external partners to ensure alignment on messaging and strategy, and to amplify collaborative efforts.

  • Serve as a media relations professional, managing press inquiries, building relationships with key media outlets, and articulating the value proposition of Windows' latest technologies to media, influencers, and stakeholders.

  • Drive thought leadership campaigns that position Microsoft as an industry leader in technology innovation, monitoring industry trends and the landscape to inform communication strategies and messaging frameworks.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Understanding of the technology industry, particularly in OS, AI, and Silicon innovations.

  • Proven track record of executing successful PR campaigns and managing media relations on a global scale.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Growth mindset with a passion for curiosity and learning.

Communications IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
