The Trust & Integrity Protection (TrIP) team has an immediate opening for a Business Program Manager (BPM) to be part of our Security and Privacy Incident Response team. This team responds to and resolves security, privacy, and fraud incidents impacting Microsoft and our customers. This role is vital to TrIP’s ability to grow customer trust and reduce risk by relentlessly protecting data and operational integrity across the Worldwide Commercial Business.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic and global team environment, handle high pressure and politically hot situations while portraying professionalism, and have an absolute commitment to customer trust.
Conduct comprehensive investigations that analyze, triage, contain and mitigate a wide variety of privacy, security, and fraud events in a timely manner.
Respond to detections, threats, and anomalous or suspicious activity, and identify risks in the ecosystem.
Partner with peer incident response, privacy and security analysts and engineers to orchestrate response and mitigation solutions.
Communicate clearly and accurately with customers, both written and verbal
You will be required to participate in on-call rotations.
3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, threat detection and analysis, and/or incident response
Experience with security operations or incident response, and technical knowledge in security domains like authentication, access management, security monitoring or threat intelligence
Ability to think critically and deliver results under pressure, while adjusting demeanor and communication style to accommodate diverse customer base.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal.
Confidence and willingness to make judgment calls when presented with comprehensive and complex data.
Ability to respond effectively under stressful situations.
Exemplary customer service background and aptitude in handling commercial customers.
Location/Travel: You may be based anywhere in the United States or Canada, working from a home office. You can expect limited global travel, less than 10%.
