Registered Nurse - RN - 1:1 School Nurse

CareerStaff Unlimited is looking for a caring and passionateRegistered Nurse to provide 1:1 carefor a medically fragile student for the remainder of the current School Year!

• Hourly: $44.00

• Weekly: $1518.00

More details:

1:1 RN or LPN – up to 30 hours/week, possible increase to hours/week

• As soon as possible through June 23, 2023, based on District calendar.

• Two open positions: Lake Washington High School and Clara Barton Elementary School

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Friday: 8:00am-2:50pm, including lunch supervision.

• Wednesdays: 8:00am-1:20pm, including lunch supervision

• Bus transportation needed as well, bus pickup and drop-off TBD

• Applicants must have current Washington State License and Certification

• Applicant must be willing to work in-person, onsite at LWSD campuses

• Student Needs: Required care includes but is not limited to g-tube feedings, seizure monitoring, medication administration, personal care.

SKILLS FOR REGISTERED NURSE, RN:

• Vital measurements: respirations, heart rate, temperature (P.O., tympanic, and axillary routes), pain

• Assessment: lung sounds, heart sounds, neurological, gastrointestinal, signs of abuse/neglect, various injuries

• Seizure precautions and crisis management

• Able to identify adverse reactions/negative changes in a child’s assessment and is able to appropriately report these changes

• Identifies and appropriately reports emergent medical situations

• Catheterization of male and female children

• Tracheostomy care, replacement, and crisis management. In-line and standard suction catheters.

• Application of splints, ace bandages, cast care, warm/cool compresses

• Childhood behavioral/mood disorders
