Microsoft Corporation Product Marketing Manager in Redmond, Washington

Are you a superstar storyteller with a knack for captivating technical audiences? Are you passionate about deeply understanding customer needs and crafting compelling narratives to address them?

As a Product Marketing Manager on the Microsoft Edge C ommercial Go-to-Market (GTM) team , you’ll own the narrative and storytelling for IT Pro audiences . With more than half the time on a PC spent in the browser, securing this endpoint has never been more important. You’ll leverage your deep technical expertise and audience understanding to create engaging and informative content that resonates with technical professionals and stakeholders . This role is for you if you like staying on top of the latest industry developments and concerns, find yourself keeping tabs on what IT Pros say in online forums, and are full of ideas for how to creatively ‘hook’ a technical audience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop breadth and depth content (ex. blogs, event videos, whitepapers, pitch decks, etc) that can overcome IT Pro skepticism and land the full value of why Edge for Business is a secure enterprise browser, optimized for AI.

  • Break down complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and meaningful narratives for IT Pros.

  • Possess a deep understanding of customer needs in the browser security and management space, including the scenarios that an IT Pro would face day-to-day.

  • Work with engineering teams and marketing counterparts to understand product truth and business context, in order to drive alignment on messaging and go-to-market plans.

  • Work within the Edge go-to-market team and other Microsoft marketing teams to scale storytelling and content (e.g. digital, events, field, analysts).

  • Set success criteria, measure impact, and evolve strategiesto maximize impact.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 2+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Experience in technology working closely with engineering and marketing partners to launch new software products and/or features in a commercial environment

  • Communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor the content and the delivery to different technical audiences and formats

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Experience as a Cloud Endpoint Specialist or a Security Technical Specialist with advanced writing skills

  • Experience in managing and deploying software in a commercial environment

  • Experience with security products and storytelling

  • Experience with events / commercial conferences and analyst engagements

  • Technical portfolio may be requested for review

Product Marketing IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.
