We are seeking an experienced, hands-on leader who is passionate about user experience to join our team. Your leadership will drive innovation and ensure the team is aligned with Microsoft Shopping vision. Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of entry level to mid-career employees, fostering their growth and development.

  • Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to build exceptional consumer-grade applications.

  • Lead the development of high-quality, scalable, performant and secure web applications.

  • Bring expertise and a user-centric approach to all projects, enhancing the overall user experience.

  • Drive the execution of user experience strategies and initiatives.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of people management experience

  • 6+ years of experience in software development and designing front-end applications.

  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, TypeScript and Webpack.

  • Passion for user experience and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

  • Experience leading complex software projects over multiple releases covering all stages of the product/service lifecycle.

  • Experience creating AI-centric experiences.

  • Ability to work in an agile environment and manage multiple priorities.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
