Microsoft’s Datacenter Development Land Development Program Managment Organization supports the development and delivery of our data center portfolio from site identification and selection through to design, construction and operation. The Microsoft Data Center development portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year data center construction and lease projects.

Job Description:

The Land Development Program Manager is central to merging in-depth data analysis with extensive real estate insights, thereby refining strategic planning and enhancing decision-making across diverse international markets. In this capacity, the Land Development Program Manager will work alongside real estate professionals, urban planners, and data analysts, contributing essential support through diligent data collection, analysis, and synthesis to guide strategic coherence.

Responsibilities

  • Drives execution of strategies aligned with company priorities within approved timelines.

  • Develops and owns multi-year regional and participates in global strategies with senior Real Estate and stakeholders.

  • Updates multi-year regional/site strategies with senior Real Estate and Facilities stakeholders. Assesses the specialty needs of the client and coordinates the execution with other team members. Ensures Real Estate portfolio efficiently supports business requirements.

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of real estate development data, focusing on market trends, regulatory frameworks, land use policies, and pathways to accelerated permitting.

  • Utilize complex data sets to generate insights that inform strategic and operational planning, aiding in the identification of viable development sites and navigating regional constraints.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years relevant experience

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field AND 5+ years equivalent experience.

  • Experience in in data visualization tools and techniques, with the ability to manage and interpret large, complex data sets.

  • Deep experience in real estate development, preferably with exposure to large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects

  • Knowledgeable in interpreting complex data sets related to real estate and land development.

Other Requirments:

The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field AND 7+ years Portfolio Management, Real Estate, or Office management experience OR 10+ years equivalent experience.

Real Estate Portfolio Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
