Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks throughout the facility. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment. To be successful, you need to be highly motivated and detail-oriented while showing the highest standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Operate environmental test chambers including thermal cycling, vacuum, HALT/HASS.

• Install instrumentation on various types of hardware and fixtures.

• Execute electronic test procedures for component and system level testing.

• Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

• Update and repair electrical assemblies and subsystems.

• Assemble tooling and assist with equipment maintenance.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years working in a test lab or manufacturing environment.

• Experience using basic hand tools.

• Experience with test chambers, thermal cycling, vibration testing, shock testing, environmental testing.

• Ability to operate powered equipment such as forklifts or cherry pickers.

• Valid Driver's License and ability to meet driver eligibility criteria.

• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with thermocouples, aviation, and aerospace.

Work Environment

Work will be conducted in a lab at the facility in Redmond. Employees will work in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment with the opportunity to put satellites in space. The role requires operating powered equipment and handling shipments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.66 - $27.66/hr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Redmond,WA.
