Amazon Corporate LLC Integration Technician III, Project Kuiper in Redmond, Washington

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are seeking talented Integration Technicians to lead development and production integration and test activities of the Kuiper satellite. Key job responsibilities - Integration and test of the Kuiper satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and ESD controlled environment - Rigging and critical lifts of bulky, sensitive hardware - Use precision calibrated tools - torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers and calipers - Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation - Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions - Run functional and environmental testing on units - Use computer software programs for controlling tests - Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities - Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environment Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to \$37.00/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A day in the life The Integration Technician II will work closely with cross-functional engineering, test, quality and operations teams on both first-article hardware development and production hardware integration processes. This position requires skill and experience in a variety of areas, including mechanical assembly, avionics integration, rigging, electrical checkouts and environmental testing. In short, you will be responsible for a majority of the most critical tasks to build the Kuiper satellite, ensuring high quality, workmanship and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Redmond, WA, USA - High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience - 2+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation - Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environment - Experience in a fast-paced production environment - Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements - Experience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment - A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures - Ability to use precision measuring instruments - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment Additional Requirements - Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times: 1st shift (8 am - 4:30 pm). Shifts may vary, depending on program needs. - Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operations - Able to climb and down ladders, work in tight spaces, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position. - Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted -
