Required Skills:

Hardware Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Own electrical development of highly complex systems delivering and ensuring that electrical systems achieve product goals.

  2. Lead electrical architectures definition or provide technical leadership to a larger development team.

  3. Design schematics, direct board layout, lead cross-functional design reviews and draft design documentations.

  4. Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate new technologies and components.

  5. Propose innovative solutions to enhance product performance and features.

  6. Manage bring up and debug, support manufacturing and assembly build.

  7. Collaborate in a team environment and work across engineering disciplines to develop systems and manage trade-offs across electronics, mechanics, optics, sensors, haptics, firmware, and software.

  8. Work in distributed team environment.

  9. Contribute to building and sustaining internal Meta community through recruitment, mentorship, allyship, and a commitment to Meta’s diversity equity and inclusion goals.

  10. Inform prioritization of work across teams and disciplines and actively participate in resolving technical conflicts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or in a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

  2. Requires 5 years of experience involving the following:

    1. Electrical design and engineering fundamentals
    1. Schematic and board design using Cadence OrCAD, Altium or equivalent
    1. Use of oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, or function generators
    1. Experience working with 2 or more of the following: digital signal processing, real-time image processing, display engineering, camera modules, mobile SoC and PMIC, or Battery Management System
    1. Leading technical teams, cross-functional groups and vendors against project plans
    1. Systems architecture of electronic products

Public Compensation:

$236,139/year to $276,870/year + bonus + equity + benefits
