​​As an Electrical Engineer at Microsoft, you will design, develop, modify, and evaluate components used in electronic devices that involve the manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity. Define design approaches, implementation schedules, technical specifications, and parameters for devices. You will partake in selecting materials and components based on analysis of specifications and reliability. This opportunity will allow you to develop test plans and direct support personnel, or other engineers, in the preparation and execution of design testing or prototype fabrication.​

Responsibilities

  • ​​Develops design documentation for well-defined features and review supplier or partner technical sheets. You’ll also analyze data analyses to identify common flaws in feature or product designs.

  • ​​Ensures documentation includes test requirements, determines appropriate test equipment, and carry out test plans on standard features or products. ​

  • ​​Collect data for external testing and help develop test fixtures for new feature testing and validation. ​

  • Implements schedules for a feature or product while highlighting potential downstream issues. You’ll also help implement risk assessments and communicate progress within the team. ​

  • ​​Creates detailed reports for a product feature or extension. This will include documenting essential details and accurate recording and tracking design changes with guidance. ​

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of technical engineering experience​​

  • OR Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. ​

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ​​Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience

  • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or currently pursuing a Master’s Degree), Computer Engineering, or related field. ​

Electrical Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
