The mission of the Windows Device Marketing team is to get the right devices, with the right features, in the right segments and channels to drive growth!

For our Director of Commercial Windows Product Marketing, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced people manager with a background in PCs, Silicon, and most importantly, Windows, to lead us into the era of AI while also helping our Commercial customers prepare for and make the transition to Windows 11 ahead of Windows 10 end of support. The ideal candidate thinks outside the norm and will lead the team to find the right key strategies to drive Windows growth in the coming years. The right candidate enjoys engaging and negotiating with ecosystem partners and telling the story of “why Windows Pro,” loves hardware and thinks if we just had a device that did this… You will lead a team to define our Commercial device and marketing strategy focusing on how we drive incremental Windows Pro volume, revenue and share while engaging our device ecosystem to deliver devices and silicon that win against the competition. Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute a variety of product marketing functions to drive the growth and awareness of Windows Pro devices ahead of Windows 10 end of support (EoS) while also scaling Copilot+ PCs in the market.

  • Partner closely with inbound/go-to-market (GTM) marketing, device partners sales (DPS), engineering, business planning, and finance to shape product strategy and ensure a robust and committed product roadmap for Windows Pro devices.

  • Launch new products and initiatives, driving awareness, consideration, conversion, usage, that delight our customers. Lead and shift industry narrative around Windows as the best platform for AI and the urgency to move to Windows 11 for greater,security, productivity and manageability.

  • Evaluate and understand the device ecosystem, know what key features our competitionis using and use storytelling to pitch the right product and product strategy to partners and customers.

  • Measure and analyze the impact of marketing activities, ensuring high standards that advance business goals, embrace new processes and best practices and create opportunities for greater efficiency and efficacy.

  • Create a team culture that respects individuals’ needs and opportunities, as well as group alignment and empathy.

  • Communicate our Commercialdevice strategyto Executives, Stakeholders, and partners to land the right message at key product and device launches.

  • Represent Microsoft as a product spokesperson at partner meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

R equired/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years’ experience in product, integrated or brand marketing.

  • OR master’s degree in marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years’ experience in product, integrated, or brand marketing.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+years direct people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams).

  • 4+ years’ experience in end user computing, and/or Windows, and/or security for managed commercial customers.

  • 4+ years’ experience in all elements of product marketing including inbound and/or outbound marketing, content creation, field enablement, campaigns and influencing and device/silicon roadmap and product strategy.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years’ experience in product, integrated, or brand marketing.

  • OR master’s degree in marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years’ experience in product, integrated, or brand marketing.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of people management experience.

Product Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
