Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software - 5%. Primary support and engineering contact accountable for the customer's Azure support experience driving resolution of complex critical problems and supporting key customer projects on Azure - 45%. Act as the voice of the customer within Azure to escalate problems and to drive prioritization of platform/support improvement needs for customers - 20%. Plan, architect, deploy and/or support complex client/server or base software systems - 5%. Provide guidance and possess a unique knowledge of a technology or sub-discipline - 10%. Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements - 5%. Establish standards for a design, architecture, and recovery process which results in comprehensive, scalable disaster recovery plans across multiple groups and services - 5%. Develop or contribute to creating an implementation, validation, and rollback plan. Lead investigations of problems by using standard and custom problem management tools and processes - 5%. Telecommuting permitted up to 100% from any location in the U.S.\ \
- Education: Bachelor\'s or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Technology Management, or related.
- Experience: 6 months of experience in any computer related occupation.
- 6 months experience in: Azure; Azure Services; Cloud Development; IaaS; Storage; and SQL.
Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (V6842298), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is \$101,608 to \$131,608 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance.
