Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Redmond, Washington. The Controller will be an integral part of our team, managing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring quality of services. The Controller will also be tasked with preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, and developing key accounting policies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), payroll, and revenue reporting.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Develop and document key accounting policies and ensure compliance with financial reporting controls.

• Work with operations to ensure compliance with operational controls.

• Assist in developing the annual operating and financial budgets.

• Conduct regular Profit and Loss (P& L) analysis and update projections monthly.

• Maintain relationships with Bank, Health Insurance, Property and Casualty Insurance, and Tax Advisors.

• Review Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

• Utilize various accounting software systems to identify negative expense trends and recommend corrective action.

• Establish effective working relationships with internal project managers and external clients/consultants.

• Safeguard company assets by maintaining and improving the company’s internal control environment.

• Supervise administrative and accounting personnel.

• Establish a strong internal communication process for the Accounting department to ensure a two-way information flow with Operations and other support teams.

• Act as a business partner to operational units through the provision of financial support and information requests.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 + discretionary bonus.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Proficient in using CRM

• Familiarity with Crystal Reports

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing skills

• Understanding of Budget Processes

• Capable of Financial Reporting

• Ability to perform Financial Analysis

• Experience with Month End Close

• Proficiency in handling Payroll

• Strong Client Relations skills

• Experience in managing Bank Relations

• Knowledge of Casualty Insurance

• Understanding of Profit and Loss statements

• Ability to prepare and interpret Financial Statements

• Skills in performing Reconciliations

• Strong Leadership Skills
