Microsoft Corporation Business Administrator in Redmond, Washington

Microsoft Security Platform, Data Security, Compliance, Governance & Privacy Team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Administrator. The ideal candidate for this role will need to be able to navigate and change directions quickly within a fast-paced environment, stellar interpersonal skills, initiative, demonstrate good judgment, the ability to maintain confidentiality, set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Being detail oriented and having consistent and timely follow through will be essential to success.

Responsibilities

  • Management of calendar with attention to accuracy, timeliness, conflict resolution and alignment to the leader’s priorities and commitments

  • Planning and coordination of complex domestic and international travel itineraries (if applicable)

  • Purchasing equipment, services, and supplies, creating purchase orders and processing invoices.

  • Timely and accurate reconciliation of managers expenses

  • Acting as interim approver on team expense reports, ensuring coding accuracy.

  • Planning, organizing off-sites and morale events.

  • Cross collaborating, planning, and support including All Hands, morale events, and other group meetings as needed.

  • Office set up and clean out for incoming and outgoing employees, etc.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years Administrative, Business Support, and/or customer service experience.

  • 2+ years of complex calendar management for executive level support.

  • 2+ years of experience managing travel schedules for executive leadership.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year(s) experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (e.g., for events, morale, travel, training). Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources [HR], Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology)

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years Administrative, Business Support, or customer service experience in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling meetings/events, travel management, and basic administration work.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive material with tact and professionalism.

  • Desire to take on big challenges and the ability to see the big picture as well as the details.

  • Ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations and requests.

  • Collaborate on planning and support of all-up events including All Hands, morale events and other events as needed.

  • Ability to lift and move standard office equipment (i.e. computers and peripherals)

  • Ability to build effective cross-group working relationships and work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft productivity software including, Word, Outlook, and Excel, Teams as well as knowledge in internal applications including, Employee Central/Success Factors, HeadTrax, DaVinci, MSExpense2, MyOrder, MS Travel and iCIMS, HR Insights Catalog

Business Support ATR-C - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $23.56 - $41.68 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $34.71 - $48.22 per hour.
